2510 I STREET
Year Built
History
This 1800 square foot lot was the site of a very modest, two-story, brick house with a frame kitchen wing from the 1880s to the 1950s. It has been vacant since that time. Plans were filed in February 2024 to build a new row house. The HPRB adopted the Staff Report approving the project, but recommending changes including eliminating a proposed third story. Excavation and site preparation began summer of 2024. During the excavation, large rounded river rock, tools and glass bottles intact and in fragments were exposed.

Recollections
As of June 2024, the lot next to the 2508 house remains vacant. "There was apparently a small house on the lot from the 1880 to the 1960s, and it has been vacant ever since. I'm not sure why the recently deceased owner kept it vacant." as recollected by Ann Rennie, owner of 2508 I St house, May 2024.
