The Foggy Bottom Association was formed in 1955 and formally incorporated in the District of Columbia on June 19, 1959, as the Foggy Bottom Restoration Association. The present name was formally adopted in 1965. The FBA was founded to enhance and protect the residential quality of the area and keep residents informed on matters affecting the community.

The FBA partners with GWU each spring to help off campus students and residents alike clear out unwanted household items. We will have a Donation Truck to collect reusable items and a dumpster to remove trash and items not suitable for donation.

Earth Day Clean Up

The FBA partners with GWU to help clean up Foggy Bottom by removing trash, mulching gardens, creating DC 311 tickets for graffiti removal.

Annual Holiday Party

The entire community looks forward to our annual meeting and holiday party to meet one another, celebrate our annual achievements, and congratulate those who have gone over and above during the year through the DC Agency Award and the Olga Corey Spirit of Community Award.

Community Shred

The community shred brings a secure document shredding truck right into the neighborhood so that residents can clear out unwanted paper documents and be certain their property is shredded.

Arts in Foggy Bottom

This award-winning outdoor sculpture exhibit brightens the neighborhood every other year by showcasing local artists who display their art for 6 months.
