The Foggy Bottom West End Village is a nonprofit membership organization that provides services for its members to help them comfortably age in their community by supplying social events (including tours and lectures), health support, and many other offerings. The Village’s work goes beyond just neighbors helping neighbors, as members get to know one another and enhance and enrich each other’s lives. The Village office recently relocated to a new space at St. Paul’s Parish. Thanks to the work of many Village members, the new Members’ Lounge as part of the office space offers comfortable seating, a large screen TV, books, a worktable and lots of sunlight and bursts of color in the décor.

The FBWE Village Member Lounge features Alma Thomas and Mark Rothko prints, and a print of a1919 Baist map of part of the Foggy Bottom Historic District, contributed by FBA History Project Co-Chairs Denise Vogt (shown here) and Frank Leone. The map shows Snows Court, but the current St. Paul’s had not yet been built. A special thank you to Watergate Gallery and Frame Design for the expert framing of the artwork.
